I don`t believe in the beat down approach in training, but I do - TopicsExpress

I don`t believe in the beat down approach in training, but I do believe training sessions should be challenging and progressive in all areas. As we get older we have to rethink training/working out protocols. Do we need to lift heavy weights, yes but not to a point that we are struggling with moving it and our we doing lifts that we can benefit from or are we doing lifts that are counter productive. Do we need intervals, sprints and other anaerobic conditioning in our workouts, yes. Yes intense in nature, but we need to understand that this form is far more efficient (less time) than spending hour long cardio bouts on the treadmill, elliptical, stair master, etc.. Do we need core work, yes. I say this (all kinds) planks, crunches, dynamic med ball throws and slams. Do we need sleep/rest, yes. Very important part or training/working out. Do we need to eat better, yes. With out this all that hard work will go to waste. This part of the equation is the hardest part and we fail a lot of the time. As individuals we have to find the right nutritional demands for our bodies and understand our goals. Find whats best for you. Everyone trains different and have different needs, Find yours. Be smart in your journey and be in tune with your mind and body. FP.
