I just have to share this story from my friend Brian D. and also give him credit for thinking fast a child. “Holy cow. Just stopped a one-year old toddler from running out into traffic on Long Hollow Pike. Parents were nowhere to be seen. I called the police as soon as the baby was out of danger. After the police arrived, they conducted a search and, after maybe five or ten minutes, they found his mom in a nearby grungy hotel room, apparently completely oblivious that her baby was gone. The dad arrived on the scene a few minutes later, and as I was leaving, he was telling the cops that the baby snuck out.
