I love those sur-real moments when you fully grasp all the many wonderful things you have that you dont deserve. I work in a place where all people want is to be healthy. Thats all. I see sadness, death, heart break, heart aches, and everythtinv rlse that you could imagine. Too often, I dont take enough time to be thankful for the small things. I met a lady at work today who was 98 and her sweet husband was 99. They had been married for 70 years. I was blown away the he cared for her, cherished her, pampered her, especially being married that long. Its something you simply dont see any more. I asked them what the key was to a 70 year marriage and this is what I was told, you should only marry your best friend. Only marry the person who loves the dark of your heart like they love the light of your heart. Only marry the person who takes care of you like a prized diamond and proves love daily. Marry the person that your moma prayed for. And most of all, marry the person that you absolutely cant stomach the thought of loosing them. Youre husband or wife is youre best friend and thats who God wants you to marry. I had tears in my eyes because Ive never met a couple of that age still blessed to still have each other. And their words was perfectly spoken. So tonight, the biggest thing that I am thankful for is being undoubtedly in love with my best friend who loves me for my bad and my good, that cherishes me, protects me, cares for me, supports me, who my momma prayed about, and that God made for just me. He is all mine and he is my soul. Its the smallest of words that can change your out look in the biggest way!!
