I present myself at Chester General at 1400 in good time for the 1419 Maesteg (1232 ex HHD) which is on time, so all is well (?). At 1428 (and without announcement) it becomes due at 1429 and eventually rolls in at 1434 with 150231 - yes, thats right, a 150 Holyhead to Maesteg, with one set of defective doors roped off out of use and the worst set of wheel flats I have ever experienced - in fact would suggest positively dangerous. There are no apologies on the train for the late running or the hopelessly inadequate rolling stock. We are almost 30 late into Salop, with again no apologies. Once again ATW control / on train staff are having a laugh at the expense of a huge number of passengers. I am prepared to score this 1 o/o 10, the 1 being for the fact that this service ran at all. Anyway, Autumnwatch now - which is far more important than ATWs inability (again) to provide a service to its patrons.
