I saw Gods and Kings yesterday. They told a good story, but it was a ridiculous version of Moses and the true story. They had God portrayed as a mean child, and the Israelites had to cross the Red Sea in about 4 feet of water. They played around with the facts too much to make it enjoyable. Then it dawned on me. Hollywood thinks its making movies of fables, so they can rewrite whatever they want when Christians know these events actually happened so are perplexed by the rewriting of the historical facts instead of using poetic license where the facts arent clear such as in The Ten Commandments. Until they understand that this is history or at least concede that millions of people believe it is history, theyll never get these Blockbuster Biblical movies right. My recommendation is to skip this one.
