In the wake of Reno, not as visible, but substantially more challenging... The 2014 US Nationals. Not the baseball team, although they are doing great, but the aerobatic competition that sorts the field out and selects the US National Champion and 2015 World Team. Congratulations to Rob Holland, for his fourth consecutive win of the National title. Reno fans will note that airshow performer Melissa Pemberton took 6th overall. Compared to unlimited competition, air racing is fairly straightforward. All turns are to the left. Compare that to the shots of the pilots walking or thinking their way through the complex sequences that have evolved over the years.
