Instant gratification, the tendency to want it now rather than later is one of the greatest nooses around the poor mans neck. Why? Because poor people always live for today. Give a poor man $100 and he will spend it on food and clothing and then seek another $100 tomorrow and even borrow in advance against it - just to consume it once again! Give that same money to one with a rich mindset and he will deny himself in order to multiply it. He will invest it and use the profit generated to buy the food - whilst recycling the $100 repeatedly and in the process, will grow it into more.(Matt 25:14-29) Are you always squandering your money on consumables or investing it on productivity?
