Is Mats Hummels on his way to Manchester United? Manchester United have reportedly won the race to sign Borussia Dortmund star Mats Hummels. This is according to the Metro website. Hummels has been heavily linked with United for years now, more recently through with Uniteds defensive problems, the rumours have intensified. Louis van Gaal is desperate sign a centre back, and would not hesitate if the German World Cup winner became available. Borussia Dortmund have insisted that they want to keep hold of Hummels, but with their current form and various other stars linked with moved away, its fair to say that Hummels has a strong possibility of leaving. £47m is the price widely reported.
