It seems that the older I get, the faster the world spins around (you young whipper snappers may not get that). Anyway, that is pertinent because the crowds will be out this weekend buying stuff for school.....that is hard for me to believe! Silverland does not get caught up in the fray of the tax weekend...maybe we should, but I guess we will leave that up to the big boys. HOWEVER...while you are out, DONT FORGET we still have lots of stuff for sale in our ~Lemons and Leftovers sale~. Something of great interest is our clothing. Many of you are probably not even aware that we have great looking clothing. Now’s the time to come check it out. And I am excited to tell you we are having a Riedel wine glass tasting on 9/11. If you enjoy wine, I cannot begin to tell you with words how fun this is and you can do it RIGHT HERE IN AMARILLO! I will be talking about it later….but it will fill up and we sure want you to be there. On a personal note. I got to spend the last couple of days with my son and daughter in law in Kansas, doing what guys like to do. It was a great time, and I certainly enjoyed the time with my son. I have spent much time pondering how God has blessed me…Born in America, Texas no less! Married the woman I fell in love with in 8th grade. Two wonderful children. And have had the opportunity to do so many fun things. One of the great things in my life has been the opportunity to meet and interact with so many fun folks in the stores. Thank you….sincerely!
