It was 1967...Darrell & I had been married 2 years, didnt have any babies yet...he was working for Kerr McGee Refinery, Cushing, OK, making $4.44 per hr. Our house payment was $72 mo, which included taxes & insurance...car payment was $50 mo, & gasoline was 32 cents per gallon. We had new carpet, which ran us $16.50 per mo. (For a year)! Also bought a new refrigerator on time (payments of $16.50 mo)...I worked in a beauty shop and brought home $65 per week...times were good and bad! We lived payday to payday and have always been so happy and blessed! God blessed us with a beautiful baby daughter on January 23, 1968. Just wanted to share this, in case someone feels like God isnt near you! Hes always been right beside us, even when we couldnt feel His presence. Its not always easy, but hang in there & stay in touch with our Father! He loves us so much!!!
