It’s great to be back at the TerraSonic helm after a month away. We picked up some really great music during that time, some of it from a satisfyingly intense crate-digging session in the Athens Flea Market. We began with some early music from Greece’s Imam Baildi (and closed with something new by them), checked out the latest from Captain Planet and Chancha Via Circuito, sublime new Brazilian sounds from Moreno Veloso and Mia Doi Todd (official), dug into some serious Thai psych from Khun Narins Electric Phin Band and grooved to The Heliocentrics’ latest visionary collaboration, this time with Nigerian legend Orlando Julius. We also made room for remixes of Nina Simone and Huun-Huur-Tu, and enjoyed Prince Fatty’s foray into the NOSTALGIA 77 catalog. All that and more on the latest episode of TerraSonic.
