JUST A LITTLE WHILE For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Heb.10:37. We have all come across the slogan that says ‘BE READY, CHRIST IS COMING VERY SOON’. We have all heard people preaching that same thing from different nations of the world. Every Bible believing church will never cease to talk about it. Countless men were assigned by God only to preach this all through their lives. They are never allowed to lose focus this primary assignment which is to preach the coming of Christ repeatedly. No true Christian will ever shut his/her mouth but would continually proclaim the gospel and discuss this subject matter with friends and acquaintances. Majority have heard about His coming; some have taken a careful note and are preparing for it while others have heard yet have discarded it. People may treat this issue in whatever they like but one thing is sure, ‘CHRIST IS COMING VERY SOON. One of my friends said to me after hearing a sermon on this topic. He said, since he was young, he has being hearing that Christ is coming very soon, and his father also said the same thing to him but the Christ hasn’t come, let him come lets see. Yes that is true, the message about the second advent of Christ started some 2,000 years ago when Christ left and charged the disciples about His second coming. (Acts 1:10-11) which he had already told them before (Matt. 24:29-35, Luke 21:25-33, Mark 13:29-31) you see, Christ preached this same message some two thousand years back when He was among men and much as you and I know, Christ cannot preach anything false. That you have being heating it some thousands years back doesn’t make it invalid. In Gen. 3: 14-15, there God declared about the coming of Christ (first advent) regarded as the seed of the woman, which took about 4,000 years from the period of the promise to its fulfillment. Well, that it took such an extended period does not annul the fact that Christ will come; definitely, He did come (first advent). Although a lot of generations waited of it without seeing it, prophets preached about it repeatedly, many believed God’s word and waited for it and many disbelieved because they thought it’s now invalid like my father’s friend, but suddenly Christ appeared in the temple and all eyes saw Him. Noah was about 500 years when God told him about the flood and the ark (Gen. 5:32) but it took a100 years plus before the flood God told him about surfaced. My friend, God’s word never fails, when it says, Christ is coming back, the bible knew just what it means, and when God used the word ‘JUST A LITTLE WHILE’ He means in a short time from now and God knows what HE is saying and the exact words He is using to say it. Yes, He is saying what He means and means what He says. IF YOU ARE IN THE FIELD AND YOU REALIZE THAT IT IS CLOUDY AND ABOUT TO RAIN, WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOU ARE WISE? RUN FOR SHELTER!! If wise men run for shelter when it is cloudy and about to rain heavily because they don’t want to be wet why not run into Christ because God’s wrath is about to be poured out undiluted to those that have not found refuge in Christ Jesus ‘IN JUST A LITTLE WHILE’ you run into Christ by simply and sincerely reciting this prayer of repentance. LORD JESUS, I am a sinner I have sinned against you and done all kinds of evil. I present myself before you now that you may save me. I don’t want to experience your wrath. Forgive me and show your mercy towards me as a father. Lord Jesus, come into my life as I confess you today as my Lord and personal saviour. Thank you for answering and saving me in Jesus name. Amen.
