June 30, 2013 Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church, on the corner of Skillen St and Wiley Place in Riverside, invites the community to attend the installation of our new Pastor. The installation service will be held on July 14th, 2013 at 2:00pm. Pastor Dwayne Hendricks, of Wichita Falls, Texas, will be installed as the Pastor during this service. Pastor Hendricks graduated in May 2013 from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. He Vicarage was at Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Standing within the heritage of the 16th Century Lutheran Reformation, grounded in the Holy Scriptures, we believe, teach, and confess the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the pure Word of God as it is faithfully confessed in the Book of Concord, 1580. We preach Jesus Christ, true God and man, crucified for our sins, risen from the dead, the only Way to heaven. We are evangelical, stressing the Gospel of justification by grace through faith alone, but also catholic, that is, our faith is one with the ancient Christian Church. With the ancient Church and the Lutheran Reformation we believe that Christians must be concerned about what we believe as well as how we live. There can be no pious life without pure doctrine.
