Last week I participated once again in the Adilia Alieva Piano International Competition from Gaillard (France) , but as I am an old muchacho now I had to enter the Professional Category rather than the Jeune one like last time . The competition was a bit abstract , having competitors double my age with a stable family and a job (mainly teaching piano), the organization was very flexible with some funny members of the jury. But in the end, after quite an intense and lucky two rounds Ive managed to win the 2nd Prize , which I feel really chuffed about , as I almost pulled out of the competition few days before , and a Special Prize for the Best Interpretation of the Imposed Piece Rosebud . Here I want to say Thanks to my benefactor/spiritual father papa Bob , with whom I had the decisive skype call regarding my decision to pull out and which offered me an incredible advice making me get on the plane and fly over. Shut up and play . and it worked :D . Had a great time with the Romanian team no.1 reunion aswell , we all missed our beautiful mama Maya from the Team but the Switzerland Intensive Summer School is quickly approaching so it will be a full house once again . Ive attached here an article from the Competition, thanks to Laura for sending it to me , and the hall weve all been playing in. Have no idea where my diplomas are but Im happy I still have the honorarium :)
