Many times its hard for the average citizen to understand how Corporations use their elected representatives in ways that do harm to the people that elected them. In general Politicians are subject to the moral and legal contamination of conflicts of interest. Conflicts of interest are basically moral challenges caused by having more than one master, i.e., a challenge or temptation not to keep ones word or commitment made to another party, e.g., like the people who elected you.
