Master Sergeant Eric Marts, a blinded Iraqi war veteran from Fargo, has been honored to attend the State of the Union address this coming Tuesday as the guest of one of ND Senators, Senator Heitkamp. While he is in the D.C. area, Sgt. Marts plans to visit with members of congress and other policymakers to advocate for the needs of blinded veterans. He will also visit Walter Reed hospital to bring some encouragement and inspiration to the men and women who are hospitalized there with various types of disabilities. If you are able to receive the signal where you are, Sgt. Marts will be appearing on WDAY radio today (Friday) at around 12:30 on the Christopher Gabriel show to talk about his forthcoming visit and hopefully some of the issues he is interested in.
