Michelle Sullivan Eastman posted to Bridport-Vermont Not-townsponsored Aug/Sep 2013 Dear Local Community Business, We are Bridport Senior Citizens, a non-profit group made up of Senior Citizens age 60 and up from Bridport, Shoreham, Orwell, Addison, and Middlebury. Twice a week we meet for lunch or supper at the Bridport Grange for a CVAA sponsored meal. What sets us apart from other Senior groups in the Champlain Valley is that we have to pay rent for the space where we gather. In the summer on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays we have our Community Meal in the evening catered by Rosie’s. Twice a year at these dinners we hold a Silent Auction and Teacup Auction to help raise money to defray the cost of the hall rental. In the spring we typically feature several donated plants and flowers such as hanging baskets and other perennials. In the fall, on our last evening meal for the year, we feature donated new items, new craft items, and gift certificates from local businesses. If you are interested in helping to enrich the lives of our local Seniors by donating to this endeavor, please contact Ginny Bronson at 802-758-2669 and someone will be happy to pick up your donation. If you are interested in joining Bridport Seniors or attending the last meal for the Silent Auction and Tea Cup Auction and further support our Seniors, or if you know someone who could benefit from belonging to a Seniors group, please contact Michelle Eastman, our CVAA Community Meals Coordinator, at 802-349-6370. Thank you for support. Sincerely, Bridport Senior Citizens
