Must Someone die before we make a Change??? This were the words of one of the Sympathizers of the Young girl of about 14 years who died in the University today. It is with deep regret that we mourn the death of a young girl who once hawked groundnut at the department of Computer Science. It was unfortunate when today she tripped on one of the Open and Exposed wires during the rain and she got electrocuted resulting in her death. Some of the department students came around to see the Student Union President who assured them that Something would be done to rectify the electrical faults. He further raised an exposition into the fact there are several others lying around the University Community. An aide to the student Union President asserted that Protest would not bring down the hands of the management Meanwhile, the students of the department have vowed to lead a protest tommorrow as regards the Situation The pertinent questions on my mind includes the following 1. Must someone die before we react to situations? 2. Why on earth do we risk the lives of the future leaders of this country? 3. Why is our Union handicapped by the dictates of the Management? 4. What would be done by the Union to avoid a repeat occurence? Greatest Uites, A man once said The growth of any country is in the development of its Youth. Its high time we stopped an egregious desecration of the Sacrosanct ideals of our Unionism and Salvage this country from the seemingly endless pit of Frustration. I say R.I.P to the young girl
