My daughter was in the grocery store yesterday in the checkout - TopicsExpress

My daughter was in the grocery store yesterday in the checkout lineup. The lady in front had checked in and was going through her purse to find a means of payment for the groceries in her cart, eggs, milk, bread, the essentials. She avoided her debit card so was obviously looking for a credit card. Much to the chagrin of those behind her and the young male cashier she became increasingly embarrassed and frustrated. My daughter stepped up and said quietly to the cashier, a high school student of hers, Ill pay for hers, add it to my cart. It was only $70.00, but maybe her Christmas, and she was immensely grateful, almost to the point of tears. If someone had asked me more than thirty years ago what kind of daughter I wanted to raise, I dont think I could have described it any better.
