NIGERIA PLAYERS UNION ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2014 HOLDS IN LAGOS The Association of Professional Footballers of Nigeria {APFON] will hold its 5th Annual General Assembly {AGA] on the 24th of November 2014 at the Conference Hall of Excellence Hotel Ogba Lagos by 11:00am The AGA tagged “ One Game, One Family, One Union “ will seek to amongst other objectives, provide a most veritable platform to foster greater unity and cooperation of Nigerian footballers at all levels in promoting and protecting the general interest and rights of all Footballers for the good of the game The AGA will also feature the investiture of four of the Players Union Board of Patrons, namely, Hon Tajudeen Ajide , Dominic Iorfa, Shehu Dikko and Mallam Ayuba A Umar, plus the official signing of the MOU between the Players Union [APFON} and the Association of Proprietors of Football Academies of Nigeria {APFAN] in a collaborative move designed to create and establish a culture of community based football clubs in Nigeria amongst other objectives. The AGM delegates which includes Captains of Clubs in the Nigeria Premier, National and Women Leagues, plus a selected number of Ex Footballers across the Six Geographical Zones of Nigeria will be graced by the NFF president, other sports personalities, including the Lagos State Commissioner of Sports FOR APFON Comrade Austin Popo
