Northern Region Football League 2014 Season Report We started very positively at the start of the season . Mangere United had the services of former Fiji and district reps this season 1) Salesh Kumar , Ba Fiji 2)Rinal Prasad . Ba 3) Aeron Singh , Rewa 4)Sumeet Shankaran . Lautoka 5)Eamon Goodin Waitakere City 6)Mario Bilen.Auckland City 7) Iwa Shaker ex auck city 8)Aron Bawdekar ex auck city. 9)Maciu Dunadamu Ba 10)Sanni Issa . So one can imagine what a line up we had. Mangere United sat very comfortably on the top 3 of the ladder till 1st round and latter dropped to 4 and finished the 2014 season on mid table sitting 7th on 29 points. We conceded a miserable 35 plus goals against us. We lost a few match points which could have easily helped us close the gap in the table and even taken us through to Premier.We fell short of 11 crucial points which could have given us promotion to premier divsion to play against the likes of Waitakere City and Hamilton Wanderers to name a few. We were also target of match officials who i assume were hell bent to ensure that we didnt win certain fixtures but i would blame the entire squad including myself for our performance,, for the losses that we didnt work hard enough to win those games. I am clearly very disappointed with the way the season has ended for us and i must abmit my faults and short comings and accept responsiblity .
