OK angry from Dudley would like to share two bad eating / food related experience that happen to me last week:- Last Thursday evening after shopping with my Wife @ Merry Hell we decided to have our Tea (thats evening meal to non Black Country folk) at the Wetherspoons Pub the Abraham Darby, We ordered our food & drinks at the bar and paid for them as requested, I had a pint of diet coke my Wife had a Cappuccino coffee which I had to take back it was barely warm? The young guy who served me didnt apologise just a warmed up some milk for another cup. Then they brought our food my Wifes was fine I had ordered a mixed grill, it looked fantastic but the chips were cold not even warm? So I took it back to the bar and again no apology they said well bring it back out to you? which they did, the young lass did say sorry and the new chips were fantastic but all the beautifully cooked meats were now cold? I asked to see the manager who bounced over and offered to get me a new meal. My Wife had nearly finished her meal so much for eating together? I said no he then offered to give us complimentary drinks and deserts which we declined. I said if I had not paid for the meal I would have refused to pay for mine at least, he said OK let me know if we change our minds on a free drink or sweet? I think the lesson to learn with these pub type eating places is dont pay upfront open a tab and if the food is rubbish like this was dont pay. My second moan is on Friday we ordered an Indian take away from a local Indian down Gornal Village called Spices I order it through the on line service called Just Eat When the food arrived they had forgotten the two naan breads we had ordered I phone the shop and he said they will get them to me in about 20 minutes the shop is around a 5 minute drive from our home? my son James being the hungry Uni student started to eat his curry I put mine in the oven to keep hot. The driver came back about 25 minutes later, my hungry son had now finished his curry? I said to the driver you have ruined our meal how hard is it to check that everything is there thats ordered He said Oh Bless Bless I said how about giving me some money back? We will give you a discount on your next order he said, never mind a next order what are you going to do about this order, Bless is not good enough I will get the manager to phone you when I get back he said. Now surprisingly the manager has never phoned me? Just eat has also not responded either and I have heard nothing from my email to Wetherspoons, but perhaps Im expecting things like responding to customers to happen to quick? They say it comes in 3s so Im now waiting for my next buying of food experience to happen? Angry from Dudley is now stepping off his soap box, have a great day
