One of our problems in life is trying hard to keep everyone happy. You remain where you are if you just live to please everyone. When you are on the right track, people will love you. But there are some, just a few, who will never love and appreciate your style. Stop trying hard to please them. They will make you feel pressured to fit into their mold and become what they want you to become. They just cant understand why it should be you and so they do everything possible to get you on the same level with them- the level of mediocrity. When you let people squeeze you into their mould and bow to pressure by trying to please all the critics, you lose your identity and uniqueness. It lessens Gods favour. Step into your own anointing and calling. Make that change which a few will not like. Majority of them are those who feel it must not be you and they have been with you long enough to redirect you from the vision God gave you. I have always been criticized, from childhood, but this one thing I do: running towards the mark of a higher calling. They will always criticize you, but I want you to handle it my style which is Gods own way. Ignore them like they dont exist. The wont celebrate you; never, but you should pay them no mind. Go ahead giving them work to do in the secret while you go on doing exploit. Dont lose any sleep for them. Dont try to win them over. Dont beg them to hear your heart. Just run the race with purpose, with focus, and with integrity. Make sure your conscience is void of offense before God and man. Make sure you give no room to bitterness because you start falling the moment you do. Show them love whenever you can. But, keep them at arms length because they may poison your mind if you allow them come close. When you do these things, you will see God give you favour more and more. Eventually the critics will leave. Shut the door behind them. God is about raising for you, a people of integrity and focus. God will raise for you a people who will genuinely work with you and mean what they say. When you do things Gods way, you never lose out! Ask God for the grace to become a professional ignorer. I am very good at it. Im all for treating every person with equal respect, kindness, and consideration (no sacred cows in my dictionary). But I no longer try to appease or please my critics. From Mother Theresa who is my role model, to Nelson Mandela, from the Wright Brothers to Steve Jobs; every person who has achieved great things has had critics. You will have yours, too. Ive heard this said: If you get kicked in the rear, it means that you are out in front. The front runner is always the focus of those who trail behind. The more success you have, the more opportunities there will be for distractions. The higher you go, the more haters will come out. Never be a people pleaser, be a God pleaser.
