One year ago tomorrow I had surgery for the big C. I was so fortunate that it was caught early, was completely treatable and that my Dad found a skilled surgeon to do the surgery. This was the scare of my life and could never have gotten through it without the love of my parents, my sister ( Sue Allen McIndoe), and friends. A special thanks to Patty Wright who let me cry on her shoulder, Sandra Finlay who was a caring friend and generous boss who made sure I took the time I needed to recover and more friends than I can count who sent flowers, cupcakes, and cards and i even had friends come to visit to keep me from losing my mind from boredom. Jane Mulkey, Kelly Sullivan Freedman, Alicia Tura Stein, Tracey Harlowe, Wanda Norton, Portia Gubatan Ellis, Lisa Behr, Kathy Davis, Kathleen Gorom Ochab, Ana Hays McCracken, Cheryl Mendelson and I couldnt forget my sweet Maggie who spent many hours laying next me and comforting me. I am so fortunate that today I am cancer free.
