POSITION SUMMARY: The Order Processor full-time temporary assignment is a 2nd shift opportunity that may last up to nine months or earlier, dependent upon business needs. Transition into a full-time regular status will be based on business needs to hire full-time regular, achieving satisfactory job performance, and attendance. The start date for this temporary assignment is Monday, July 29, 2013. The work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 3:00pm- 11:30pm. Starting pay is $13.72 an hour plus a $.65 hourly 2nd shift premium. Full-time temporary employees are eligible for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) on their 91st day of employment. The Order Processor fills retail orders in two different pick mediums within the Order Processing department (Buggy fill, Batch Cart fill). Order filling methods and skills necessary will vary. Therefore, flexibility in filling in both of the multiple assignments within this position description is required. The incumbent fills customer orders using computer-generated documents to pick from fill bins or utilize pick to light technology and other automated equipment. Interfaces with PC and mainframe systems to ensure customer orders are processed in adherence to standard operating procedures. This position requires the highest possible quality and customer service by selecting and packing items in cartons. This position will require extensive walking, bending, stooping and lifting throughout the work day, to fill retail customer orders. Strong concentration skills and the ability to "accurately" read and process numeric information is a "must". Basic Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED required. • Must be able to fulfill daily tasks which require continuous walking between 3-7 miles daily, bending, and reaching. Requires continuous reaching and placing card wholesales into cartons. Requires repetitive lifting of cartons. Must be able to lift carton weight up to 60 pounds maximum. Average carton weight is approximately 25 pounds. Static, 90 degree positioning of arm and grasping of 3 x 5 tickets, while other arm continuously reaches / picks items. In addition, position may also require the filling of orders by using an 8.5” x 11” bundled sheet of papers, if working in a seasonal area. Preferred Qualifications Needed: • Previous experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred. • Previous work experience preferred. • Must have strong concentration skills, problem solving and ability to rapidly read and process numeric information. • Must be able to prioritize tasks. • Ability to periodically work on and climb stairs to a mezzanine (fully OSHA compliant) 13.5 feet above floor level. • Must be flexible and able to work in a variety of conditions using various order filling technologies. • Must be able to pay attention to detail. • Ability to operate a PC in a Windows environment. • Must be available to work overtime as needed and meet overtime expectations Hallmark is an Equal Opportunity Employer - EOE.
