Overheard at a local meeting:- First Person: ‘Wot I think is, well, you know, it’s…erm…the fing is wot it is is…erm…well, it’s like immigration, I mean, you know, it’s like, well…sort of, you know, this country, innit, I mean it’s very small innit, I mean it’s small enough already, erm…wot I mean, the fing is, it’s not right is it, I mean, I’m not racist or nuffink, you know, but you can’t just sort of come over here can you, do you know what I mean, wot I’m saying is it’s not right…’ Second Person without any apparent hint of intended irony: ‘Well said!’
