Owl release, part 1. So there was a snafu. Owl had gotten one of his primary flight feathers, on just the end, stuck in duct tape on the inside of the box. Let me reassure everyone that the owl has been successfully released and there are several eye witnesses to him successfully flying to a magnolia tree, hopping up several branches in it, then transferring over to our pine trees and then flying freely and without any difficulty in open air at about 60 feet in the air. Unfortunately, video footage does not show this as my role as videographer quickly changed to rehabber in effort to assure a successful release. We were not as successful at silence once we released the challenge of the situation as well. And as per my usual go to stress response, there will be profanity. Pthorry.
