Press Release By NSUI Rajouri to Sachnews Jammu Kashmir: Rajouri, June 04: NSUI District Vice president Rajouri Yasser Perwaiz addressing a Press Conference at Rajouri asked the govt. to solve various demands related to Govt Medical College Rajouri. Yasser Parwaiz said that govt. Medical College shall be affiliated with Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri because Jammu university has so many colleges.The care and maintenance of it will be very effective if it is affiliated with BGSB University Rajouri. He further stated that according to UGC norms, a university can affiliate only 100 colleges but the Jammu university has got affiliation of more than 100 colleges. NSUI Rajouri also demanded that there shall be 25% reservation for Rajouri-poonch districts students in the college as these areas are very backwards. Further this will help to overcome the various problems faced in the medical department of the region like shortage of medical staff. He also requested the chief minister Omar Abdullah, who is also the Chancellor of BGSB University to intervene into the matter. NSUI Rajouri also thanked Mr Ghulam Nabi Azaad ( Former Union Health Minister) for giving a Medical College to this border region. Yasser parwaiz also requested to the government to start the above said college as soon as possible. Others who spoke on the occasion were Dildar Ahmad & Manik Sharma (Distt. Gen. Secys rajouri), Javed Ahmad(Distt. Secy.) , Younas Khanday (Vice-president, BGSB University Rajouri) and other members of NSUI Unit Rajouri.
