Rejecting the calls for Retaliation No military or drone - TopicsExpress

Rejecting the calls for Retaliation No military or drone operation can fully eradicate Al-Qaeda or the Taliban. The most powerful and technologically advanced militarily attempted this feat after 9/11 and failed miserably. Statistics reveal that terrorism has substantially increased globally due to the military policies of the U.S. and global peace has declined as a consequence. These organizations have networks that extend beyond the borders of Pakistan, and although they do not have a central command, their radical beliefs are sufficient enough to lure hundreds of thousands that are victims of injustice or live under extreme conditions of poverty. It is not possible to kill or assassinate each and every person that has, or is developing, radical beliefs. The way to confront this issue is through closing the tab from which these military groups find new recruits, i.e, protecting and improving the livelihoods of those that are victims of economic injustice. 58.7 million people in Pakistan live in multidimensional forms of poverty. More than 200,000 children in Pakistan die on the first day of their lives, the highest in the world, The atrocities committed by the Taliban are horrendous, without a doubt, however the real terrorist is economic injustice and the deaths and radicalization which stem from it every single day. The only way to tackle this issue is through the following steps: 1. Regional cooperation in security, intelligence, economic and social development: Pakistan Afghanistan Tajikistan, Kirghistan,, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan Turkmenistan 2. End U,S military occupation, drones strikes and the activities of U.S special forces in Afghanistan and Pakistan. 3. Renegotiate economic policies that are being implemented by the WTO & IMF to foster social investment and wealth redistribution . 4. Apply the rule of law: Train and improve local military, police and intelligence services to make it a priority to apprehend and detain terrorist first bbc/news/world-asia-27758029
