Remember Carver..he is now known as Valjean and is looking for his forever home. Valjean is a 2 year old Dogo Argentino (Argentinian Mastiff), who was rescued from a South Carolina shelter. When he came to me, he had horrible scars from a very badly embedded collar, and was only 45 pounds. He was literally a bag of bones. Today, four months later, Valjean is a perfect 85 pounds of muscle. Hes a total lovebug and just LOVES to be with his human. Hes great with kids and other dogs and goes to the dog park frequently, where he likes to run and wrestle with his fur friends. Hes perfect on a leash and will walk right at your side, but he would really love a fenced in backyard and someone to play with. I love him to death, but I live in a very small apartment without a yard and I work A LOT, so it would not be fair to him if I didnt try to find him a better home. Valjean graduated from basic training classes and knows his sit, stay, lay down, roll over, wait, leave it, take it, touch, hug and heel commands. He would do best in a home with an owner who will continue to teach him new tricks and commands, as he lives to please his mom and dad. Hed also make an amazing running companion, as he loves to be outside and loves going on walks and jogs, but is also very well behaved and mellow inside. He likes to sleep with his toys and curl up under blankets, especially if his owner will share the bed with him. He is up to date on all his shots, neutered, crate trained, house trained, dog and kid-friendly (no cats).
