This GMOU so nai provide the framework within which the Company and the host communities suppose work together to encourage sustainable community development, for example,unu suppose to dey encourage the use of community labour and to improve essential infrastructure, such as health centres, schools and water projects. Under dis GMOU, the community wey unu dey suppose get community development committee (‘‘CDC’’) wey also suppose made up of representatives from each of the host communities wey unu for they operate. The Company also suppose dey set aside money to the Account per annum to be disbursed by the Company for any such projects. Also we go also see say the Company dey employ outsiders and dey ignore the Community graduates and the few workers wey dem employ from the Communities e.g Sapele don dey work Labourer work for long and the Company refuse to Staff and promote them. Just last week here some Amukpe and Okirigwre women and youths carry placards protest go Seplat flow Station wen dey Shell Road, say seplat nor gree employ indigines. To my surprise Seplat abadone our women for outside deir gates for Hours without say dem address the people. Seplat unu dey find Sapele youths trouble,becos dis Oil wey unu dey collect from our land,go definately make our land nor fertile and if we nor fit gain from the Oil then we be the biggest fool for the World. I put am to unu say,if unu nor employ the Youths,we go sue the Company to Court becos we dey play our portion well but unu dey take our simplicity for granted. If our Elders wey dey represent us nor fit fight for our rights,den we go helep ourselves becos Enough is Enough.
