SCORPIONS were able to award 100 of our volunteers with an outing to the support the Warriors today against the Canterbury Bulldogs. It was a difficult task to select only 100 people from our many valued volunteers throughout the club!!! However... in the end we selected those that had continued working from the end of the 2013 league season throughout the off season (Sept 2013 to April 2014) running our SCORPIONS Summer Programmes such as Scorpions Tag and the Scorpions Holiday Programme. Many of these same volunteers, continue to coach and manager as well as help along with our new staff in the Club Management Committee, Scorpz Cafe teams and Stingers Bar teams. The highlight was having our volunteer kids (who are very often waiting around at the clubroom for mum and dad) being our ambassadors holding a Scorpions sign and completing a walk of honour with our fellow ARL league clubs around Eden Park stadium. Despite a disappointing result (if you are a Warriors fan) we are grateful for the Vodafone Warriors Event team for gifting the club with the tickets.
