STOP BLAMING GOD. HE HAS NEVER BEEN ON RECORD PREACHING BDP - TopicsExpress

STOP BLAMING GOD. HE HAS NEVER BEEN ON RECORD PREACHING BDP GOSPEL. Walter Jeremiah says God chose Ian Khama for us and Christine Ndibo Maphorisa would have us believe that God is telling Ian Khama to lead us the way he does, towards a cliff. Perhaps the former is just a poor uninformed soul (typical of BDP disciples) who does not keep track of current events for he would have known that Debeers is not God. But when the latter, a government economist, says the president is on Gods mission, it leaves much to be desired. It is precisely because of your poor choice on election day that we still have a president of this caliber, not Gods will. It is your fault and God has nothing to do with it. You gave us an emotionally unsound president who also appears to be intellectually inept and academically challenged. He will watch birds in the Okavango (and even fly to America to get an award for doing so, yet he wont stop by the UN to make friends for the benefit of his country). He will duck into caves, hang out in a desert, play with his toys on land and in air, play with leopards and the list goes on. What he will not do is engage other presidential candidates in live debates to tell us why he should be elected to office. He will not without handlers hold live press conferences to articulate his vision and keep the public informed on the state of the nation. Perhaps then he would be able to explain how we got the Morupule B debacle, the BMC fiasco, the airport mess, Palapye glass project ruins and unfinished stadiums two world cups later. Maybe he would get a question from a gutsy reporter asking him why he thinks he is fit to lead two million people when he couldnt start a family of three. Who knows, maybe through his own family, he would have learnt to practice what his father emphasized that you one should learn to accommodate opposing views and not hate those who challenge his ways. And perhaps through that reporter, he would shed light on how he can relate to the struggles of everyday people when he has never had to look for a job or apply for an apartment. It cannot be Gods wish that Basarwa should watch through a fence as wild animals drink from newly drilled boreholes while theirs have been shut down to chase them away from their ancestral land only to have moneyed tourists splash in swimming pools on the same land for $500/night. God cannot be amused when a Kalanga grandmother who has been longing to listen to the radio with her grandchildren in a language they both understand continues to be denied that opportunity because she, the grandmother, is minor, what an insult to Maphorisas tribe. That grandmother has been stripped of her dignity and it must be restored. Through the fabric that binds us all as children of God, the dreams of that skinny kid with a funny name from some little known settlement in a remote area are no less ambitious than those of the children living in a double story mansion, playing in a well manicured garden in the leafy suburbs of the capital. He too, even though we dont recognize his surname, wants to someday own a P14000 mirror like the presidents cabinet ministers. You, not God, gave us a president who ushered this country into a new era. A time when a BCP council candidate can have the mercenaries run an electric current through his balls because he forgot to bring a campaign memory stick with him when he got kidnapped, and worse still, he cannot reveal who paid for his partys campaign bus because he doesnt know. A time has come because of the vote you made, where a UDC activist Masvingo can be kidnapped for simply saying he doesnt like the choice you made. Only to be tortured for 14 hrs straight, knocked out cold again and again by government agents every time he regained consciousness, slapped with a flimsy charge the next morning and then lashed without ever being afforded a chance to seek legal representation. That cannot be Gods wish for one of his children who holds a view opposed to yours. We could go on forever but we will stop here for the sake of time.. Good beautiful Morning of Sunday..
