Satan was given dominion to the kingdom (earth) when Adam and Eve fell. Jesus came and reclaimed the dominion through His death, burial and resurrection. He then, gave us the Keys to the Kingdom (Matt. 16:19). I am not disputing the fact that, ultimately, times will grow dark. However, I do not choose to allow the current “climate” to define me. God has called us to be more like a thermostat; set the climate, not a thermometer; reflect the climate. I refuse to take the position that it is, “just how it has to be”, nor subscribe to the theory that we are powerless against it. The light drives out darkness, period! When a light is turned on, it does not have to fight the darkness; it simply overwhelms it. God is the Father of Lights, Jesus was Light in a dark world, He has extended that same purpose to us, so we could let our Light so shine before men. John 14:12 tells me that Jesus wants me to not only do what He does, but He wants me to do more than He did. With this status I am not trying to stir a pot, or disprove anyone’s theology, I am simply agreeing with the prophet Isaiah when he stated in Isaiah 60, “Arise, shine, for your Light has come.” So, lets not only make a difference in the people who live in dark times; lets also make a difference in the dark times themselves!
