Seems that the over 60s are the only group left where No enjoys a majority. So its time to get working on them and reassure them: Tell them weve got the worst state pensions in Europe and the second worst in the OECD after Mexico. Tell them the DWP is considering to make them worse still and privatise them as per a Grauniard report from this February. Tell them the UK Govt has already confirmed that your pensions which you contributed to prior to independence will be honoured by the UK Govt and the Scottish Govt will not only continue paying them but protecting them with a triple-lock. The triple lock is a guarantee to increase the state pension every year by the higher of inflation, average earnings or a minimum of 2.5%. Considering how poor the UK state pension is, chances are youll actually receive better state pension payments in an independent Scotland.
