Some Conservative think tank groups are calling for an investigation of the IRS. I would suggest that such an investigation is a waste of time and money. Being that there is no authorization in the Constitution for the IRS, it should be abolished, along with all the other intrusive Federal agencies like the NSA, the FDA, the SEC, etc., to only name a few. If the services of such agencies are really necessary, they should be implemented at the choice of the people within each individual state, but not allowed to continue on the Federal Level. As far as taxation is concerned, if America returned to the taxation system already outlined in the Constitution, which is the fairest system ever devised, the IRS would be irrelevant and easy to dissolve.
