Some of the people I respect the most are teachers by profession. There was Miss Barnes my second grade teacher who got me into speech therapy. Then there was Mrs. Fowler, my 5th grade teacher, who read over the course of a semester to the class the story of Joseph and made me that story so real and exciting. There was Coach Vick, my 11th grade Bible teacher who I wanted to be just like and Mrs. Evans who tried to teach me grammar but actually just taught me to write when she asked me to be the sports editor for our startup school newspaper. There was Mr. Bailey, in whos College American History class I barely made a C but who set my mind in love with history anyway. And Brother Turner who had his class just read aloud 1&2 Samuel with him making occasional comments (WOW it was rich). Then theres Brother Loyd who I got to watch enjoy the fruit of his teaching and one student after another came back into his life to say thanks. Teachers change lives - one or many - think about setting the course of an individuals life. Thank God for godly teachers and their impact. I praise Him for you today.
