Speaking of sharks and Jaws in particular, one of my more embarrassing moments (especially for a monster kid) had to be the first trip my family ever made to Universal Studios in Hollywood. The parents would have to say how old I was, but it must have been pretty young. Anyway, all through the boring tram ride I kept nagging at them about when we were going to see Jaws. I wanted to see Jaws in the worst way. When were they going to stop driving around these fake buildings and talking about I Love Lucy and get to Jaws? Well, when the tram got there and old Jaws popped up, this little kid started screaming and asking Why doesnt somebody shoot that thing? Not sure if my memory is right, but I think my father even held me out a bit over the side of the tram when the shark showed up.
