St. Patricks Day: Continuing my series on how the boys of West 35th Street spend the holidays. St. Patrick’s Day: I am convinced that March 17 would find Archie spending time with Lily (remember she is Irish) perhaps attending a Clancy Brothers concert or enjoying the corn beef and cabbage at John Barleycorn while singing along to the Chieftains or the Irish Rovers. I do not think they would attend the parade. Fritz might prepare a corned beef and cabbage dinner for Mr. Wolfe, but under no circumstances would Mr. Wolfe drink green beer. If feeling in the mood for company he might, just might, invite Fred Durkin to dinner. At dinner the conversation would focus on the 1916 Easter Rebellion and The Troubles that still exist. I do think, but might be wrong, that both Mr. Wolfe and Archie would don a green tie for the day.
