TENDER NO. WUC 036 (2014) INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION SUBMISSIONS LOBATSE IMMEDIATE WORKS PREQUALIFICATION TO TENDER CONTRACT 2: RESERVOIRS The Water Utilities Corporation of Botswana invites submissions for pre-qualification to tender from local and international contractors who can demonstrate experience in contracts involving the construction of concrete reservoirs and associated works. The purpose of the project is to construct two reinforced concrete reservoirs, the first being a 10Ml (Northern) & the second being a 16Ml (Southern) including associated chlorine buildings, earthworks and the immediate pipework in Northern and Southern Lobatse. The Pipelines & Pump Stations components of the scheme will be carried out separately under two other contracts namely: Contract 2: Construction of Pipelines Contract 3: Construction of Pump Stations, Telemetry & SCADA and electro-mechanical work The three individual contracts will run concurrently and coordination between the contractors will be expected for the optimal commissioning and operation of the scheme. Pre-qualification documents will be available from 01 September 2014 up to 05 September 2014 from the Corporation Secretary of the Water Utilities Corporation, Sedibeng House, Plot 17530, Luthuli Road, Gaborone, Botswana, at a non-refundable fee of P 150 per document. The Water Utilities Corporation endorses the Botswana Government’s drive for Citizen Empowerment and applicants shown to empower Citizens through their tenders will have added advantage. The Corporation reserves the right to require foreign-owned companies to form joint ventures with citizen-owned companies. Completed pre-qualification documents in hard copy must be submitted to the Corporation Secretary, Water Utilities Corporation, Office No 208 Sedibeng House, by no later than the closing time and date stated below. Failure to comply shall render the submission invalid. The Corporation reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submissions. Closing Time and Date: 14:00 hours on 17 October 2014
