THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. The Roman Catholic Church is the oldest church in the world. Its Origin is from the root of Christ and the 1st Pope is St Peter. The Catholic Church is surrounded with great mysteries starting from the day Christ died on the Cross of Calvary. St Peter Basilica in Rome is the head Church of all Roman Catholics but the main Church of the Pope is the Basilica of St. John Lateran. St. John Lateran is the official ecclesiastical seat of Bishop of Rome, Who is The Pope. Its the Oldest among the four Major Papal Basilicas of Rome and ranks 1st in the World. St Peter is the Head Church but St John Literan is The ecumenical Mother Church of all Roman Catholics. Many people around the world visits this Basilica to see the historical wooden altar on which St Peter Celebrated mass. Also at the entrance besides the stairs attached to the Building is the REAL Cross on which Our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified. Everything about It is still as fresh as ever. The Cross was taken to Rome by Constantines Mother, St. Helen. Now I have seen many people, expecially here in Nigeria, taunting us that Roman Catholics worshipped Virgin Mary. When I heard it I only laughed because what you dont know is Bigger than you. Not that church will save us in this world but I wont allow any other church to decieve me or lead me astray. I will die A Catholic.......
