TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION. So..... today I was thinking about stuff and a thought crossed my mind. Over the last 50 or so years there has been great advancements made by the feminist movement for the rights of women. Women are working in professions and jobs that were unheard of in the past. They are becoming the primary income earners in households across the country. Gender roles are becoming less and less defined. We have a long way to go but we are getting there at an ever increasing rate. My question is. Why are we stuck in a 1950s mentality when it comes to dating? Why cant both men and women be equal when it comes to asking each other out? why are we still stuck in the gender roles that have been in place for ever. Why does the guy have to chase the gal? Trying to change everything but not changing this one thing will leave us stagnant in reaching this goal. This is just my thought. I would like to hear yours.
