The Ohio Open Meeting Act States 4. Audio and Video Recording A public body cannot prohibit the public from audio or video recording a public meeting.843 A public body may, however, establish reasonable rules regulating the use of recording equipment, such as requiring equipment to be silent, unobtrusive, self‐contained, and self‐powered to limit interference with the ability of others to hear, see, and participate in the meeting. And this is what Bowling Green Twp resolution says... Motion by Ben Hupp June 25, 2013 “All video recording equipment um that’s going to take video equipment needs to remain in the designated area which is the box over there ah needs to be on the Trustees um no video recording of anybody in the public.” 2nd Vanburen RCV Dan Vanburen yes, Jeff Chorpenning abstain, Ben Hupp yes And this is what I say... Not allowing people that are making public comment to be video taped is a violation of the Ohio Sunshine Laws and Open Meeting Act not to mention the First Amendment. Of course this is what the public record Incident/Investigation report says youtube/watch?v=UTu3BhaDpxk&feature=c4-overview&list=UUd03lxAsIzuHLhIHm_tMo3A Who exactly is protected by "redacting" the accused when there are three trustees with two mentioned by name? Along with this "redacting" is the audio recording of the meeting that starts out with a roll call vote. Lets see how hard is it to figure out who "redacted" is. ONE THING I KNOW FOR SURE IS I HAVE IT ALL ON VIDEO!
