The number of valid questions has been raised about the selection method, roaster, and allegation about favoritism in DU and delay tactics adopted by DU administration and now by colleges by various sections of teachers through media, forums and staff room discussions. However there is no concerted effort either by DUTA or the university in this direction. Many of these questions are not new and as per the situation they are raised and put under the carpet with change in administration or situation. The fear of centralized appointments by the university or by an outside agency like UPSC has also played a crucial role in agreeing to the present selection process. After all if that happens then CHELA culture of some professors and pushing of candidates based upon ideology may shift to more corrupt practices as it happened in some state run higher education commissions. Friends it is not the rules/policy but more often our own conduct and spirit to save our university from corrupt practices in appointments may help well than criticism.
