The sun may have risen this morning for the greater majority of the world, still Ive yet to see the light it usually shines. Perhaps it was the recent news which caused this cloud of darkness that so quickly hovered over me this morning. This darkness quickly manifested itself into sorrow and misery. Nahum Segal on JM In The AM (91.1 FM) started off his morning show with the tragic massacre that occurred early yesterday morning, during the Shacharit (morning prayers) in Har Nof, Jerusalem. The victims of this atrocity were not just four people dead, they were fathers, lively spirits and precious beings that were murdered in cold blood by two Arab terrorists backed by Islamic radicalism-- Hamas and its counterparts. These actions have not only killed 4 people, they left 26 children without a father to turn to. As my eyes began to fill with tears, my mind began to beg the question; how can we help!? What can we do to fulfill our part in all this!? ״אלה ברכב ואלה בסוסים, ואנחנו בשם ה׳ אלוקינו נזכיר.״ Some with chariots and some with horses, and in name of the Lord our God, we recall! We must come together as a nation and cry out to HaKadosh Baruch Hu to protect our brothers and sisters. To keep our brethren safe while they are simply praying in the presence of Gods very own sanctuary. Why should the Jewish people walk down the streets and go about their day in fear of terror, while we enact laws to give the Palestinian people their own freedoms. Innocent people who are trying to live a normal life have been denied of their liberties and of what left of their sanity. If I may ask of all of you, I would like to try and finish Tehillim 4 times over this Shabbat in honor of the 4 precious souls that were taken from us yesterday.
