This article infuriated me! I found the authors to be condescending and paternalistic, to say the least. Why would anyone ask the question whether you were for mandatory labels on foods containing DNA if they were not trying to trick someone and skew their results. I can definitely see how some people would have interpreted this question to mean mandatory labeling on foods containing (FOREIGN) DNA. Maybe I am wrong, but in my opinion, why would anyone ask that question unless s/he were trying to trick people? The researcher says he was not trying to trick anyone, but I am still suspicious. The Washington Post article authors certainly made it seem as if the people who were Pro-GMO labeling are so ignorant, they do not even recognize that food contains DNA. I will let this go for now. I have more important things to attend to. But I think this gives all of us a very clear picture of what they think of us. washingtonpost/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2015/01/17/over-80-percent-of-americans-support-mandatory-labels-on-foods-containing-dna/
