This is the letter we received from our waste provider(I tried to scan and copy it to here, but MY printer is stupid) TO ALL DEER PROCESSORS We have been advised by New York State DEC that we cannot bring PA deer heads and back spines into New York State. Unfortunately this means taht all PA deer killed will have to have heads and spines sent to the landfills. We can still pick up other cutting bones, leg bones and the animal skins from PA deer. This ruling does NOT apply to deer killed & tagged in NYS. This ruling is due to the discovery two deer found to have CWD in Adams County PA. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but the ruling is necessary to stop the spread of the disease into neighboring states in hopes of eradicating CWD someday. P.S. brain, tonsils,eyes, spleen, intestinal tract and lymph nodes are also prohibited from PA killed deer. This should be accomplished with head & back spine removed and field dressing the taken deer.
