Though the bands 90s post Lombardo albums and the two comeback albums with him were received with mixed to negative reactions, this track proves that band really is going to Implode -literally. Without mincing words, this is Slayer band fully and completely under Kerry Kings control. Literally half the band, after Lombardo was (unceremoniously) sacked, they welcomed back former drummer Paul Bostaph. The track is actually only Kerry, Paul and Tom Araya. Gary Holt is apparently only filling in live and from what Ive read, is not an official member. Though Ive never been a fan of the bands, this track is proof they are done -musically speaking. Sure theyll release the new album next year as its been completed but itll never be a true Slayer album. All they can be now is a lesser Metallica: no real musical ideas anymore and becoming a touring road side greatest hits parody band relying on their past -their great output from the 80s, as the main draw.
