Thursday morning mancave report, the clouds are hiding the sunshine this morning but daylight always breaks through. It was a rainy ol Wednesday yesterday, sure was nice and much needed. Of course when I got home and sorted the mules and horses it was a sloppy mess in the barn lot. Willie was being a major butt headhad to tie him up while I turned the others out. He wasnt happy about being separated out. Sweetie Pie offered advice and shouted at Willie to do as hes told, she was doing this from the other side of the fence, shes had experience with the mules and deep mud before. I had one of those moments of concern yesterday when Poncho was following me around the lot and Slim and Willie were considering trying to stomp him for fun. The little latin lover wasted no time in exiting the corral, looked like a little brown blur zipping through herd! After the rain stopped yesterday evening, mom walked over to the cave, I was impressed ! Thats two days in a row! It was almost dark when she got here and she said it was still sprinkling on her but she made it. We fed her beans and fried potatoes with squash, then I offered to loan her a flashlight for her walk back but I went ahead and took her back in the truck. She keeps up walking of an evening im going to have to step up my search for that bear or bigfoot costume. My three positives today 1. Thankful for the good soaking rain we got yesterday 2. Glad my mom is getting out and walking 3. Just need to remember to be thankful for every day in itself. Another cool july day ! Stay warm
