To all competitors please ‘Like’ then I know you have read this text. Heres the RUNNING ORDER and a few snippets for the 5th and final show of the 2014 NPA qualifiers, the NPA MIKE WILLIAMS CLASSIC & PRO-AM to be held on Sunday October 5th at The Frontier in Bradford Road, Batley, West Yorkshire, WF17 6JD, a very famous nightclub venue, and venue of the competition back in 2008 and 2009 - a top class venue! Competition main sponsors are UDOS CHOICE and NATURAL MUSCLE-BUILD NUTRITION and on behalf of all in the NPA I want to thanks Tony Barnes of Udos Choice and Nathan Black and Marc Cooper of NMB for agreeing to support the competition named after the late, great Mike Williams who was such a good friend to so many of us. NMB and UDO’S are supplying supplements for all winners and runner-ups in each class, and NMB will be offering a fantastic FULL YEAR’S SPONSORSHIP to the Men’s Overall Champion! Now THAT is sponsorship! Entries have closed numbering 69, a very healthy number of competitors! Who will follow in the esteemed footsteps of last years Overall MW Classic and Pro-Am Champions Paul Douglas-Waller, Heather Oakes, and Mark Oakes? Be there to find out! Competitors check in 11am to 12noon; competitors will be allowed in from 10.30, paying customers from 11am, so please don’t turn up at 9am! Posing routine in round 3 will be for one minute only, please bring original cds for your music if possible; I have tried to get different musical formats allowed, but have been told by the venue that cd’s are the best format. There are over 20 first-timers in the contest, and to clarify to all, there are 3 rounds; the quarter turns, the 8 comparison poses, and the one minute’s individual posing…all follow one another, and count for a third of the marks. Never relax on stage, keep your focus, and enjoy yourself, odds are you will love it, but you will be aching like hell for a few days afterwards! Combined judging and show to start at 1pm. Tickets £14 on the door. Drug testing and polygraphing to take place on the day. If selected for a polygraph or a drug test, you must comply or risk disqualification. Please note that ONLY COMPETITORS are allowed to bring their own food into the venue. The rule will be adhered to by The Frontier doorstaff, so please make a note of this. There will be a variety of different foods on sale at the venue through Zucchinis Italian Restaurant next door to the venue. They do the food at the NABBA shows twice a year and I recommend them to all! On the day Ian Duckett and the NPA will be running a raffle, in aid of Cancer Research. I am sure all of us know of someone who has been struck down by this terrible disease, so for £1 you can buy a ticket, and be in with a chance of winning one of 6 fabulous prizes. Myself and Diane in particular are very proud of the NPA’s involvement with helping a number of charities over the years and are delighted to help Ian this Sunday.
